On the death of a nonagenarian friend, I was given over a hundred issues of The Essex Countryside Magazine by her family. Through copies of the images from Essex Countryside the presentation shows our county as it was in the 1950s and allows us to step back in time and look at the way we were 70 years ago. The presentation also highlights what was being advertised at the time and who was trying to part us from our hard-earned cash. It is also interesting to see how things were transported then. Finally, there are some quirky stories to finish with.
